Firehouse Theatre Project
Since its first performances in 1994, the Firehouse Theatre Project has produced plays wrought in an American voice at an authentic urban space - the nearly 90-year-old former Station House #10 of the Richmond Fire Department. FTP's presentation of off-Broadway and original works, through its main stage productions and readings, has brought to Richmond audiences a theater experience similar to the blackbox spaces of New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, and other major theater cities - but at far lower ticket prices and with greater emphasis on the actor.
