The Fan District Association is one of Richmond
Virginia's most cohesive neighborhood organizations.
Its primary purpose is to promote the welfare
of the historic Fan District of Richmond, Virginia
and its residents.

Mission:
The Fan District Association is dedicated
to the preservation, restoration and betterment
of our urban community.
Our operational objectives are to:

Represent residential owners,
renters, businesses, educational and religious
entities within our boundaries
- Promote the welfare of the Fan District and
the City of Richmond by representing the interests
of the community at the local and state level
- Balance the needs of individuals with the
needs of the community as a whole
- Encourage and participate in a healthy exchange
of ideas among all parties involved in any
issue
- Demonstrate respect for the history and diversity
of our community in all that we do.

Board Meetings
Date:The board normally meets
on the Monday before the first Wednesday of
each month, although this schedule may vary.
Time: 7:00 pm
Place: 208 North
Strawberry Street
Please call or
email the secretary to arrange a presentation
before the board. All presentations
are limited to 15 minutes.
FDA Membership
Membership is open to any individual
who lives, owns property, or operates a business
in the Fan District. Annual dues are $15 per
person or $20 per household ( 2voting adults).
The FDA's program committee arranges meetings
and social events for members throughout the
year. The Annual meeting and election of officers
is held in May.

FDA Historian
The role of the FDA Historian is to organize,
retain and authenticate past FDA Board actions
and to keep a historic record for the FDA
