The Fan District Association is one of Richmond Virginia's most cohesive neighborhood organizations. Its primary purpose is to promote the welfare of the historic Fan District of Richmond, Virginia and its residents. Click here for a map of our neighborhood.
Mission:
The Fan District Association is dedicated to the preservation, restoration and betterment of our urban community.
Our operational objectives are to:

Represent residential owners, renters, businesses, educational and religious entities within our boundaries
- Promote the welfare of the Fan District and the City of Richmond by representing the interests of the community at the local and state level
- Balance the needs of individuals with the needs of the community as a whole
- Encourage and participate in a healthy exchange of ideas among all parties involved in any issue
- Demonstrate respect for the history and diversity of our community in all that we do.

Board Meetings
Date:The board normally meets on the Monday before the first Wednesday of each month, although this schedule may vary. Time: 7:00 pm Place: 208 North Strawberry Street
Please call or email the secretary to arrange a presentation before the board. All presentations are limited to 15 minutes.
FDA Membership
Membership is open to any individual who lives, owns property, or operates a business in the Fan District. Annual dues are $15 per person or $20 per household (2 voting adults). The FDA's program committee arranges meetings and social events for members throughout the year. The annual meeting and election of officers is held in May. Click here for membership information.
FDA Historian
