About

Fanfare is a neighborhood newsletter published by the Fan District Association for the residents and businesses of the Fan. Published four times a year, Fanfare highlights events and activities within the Fan and neighboring communities that may be of interest to those within the Fan.
Fanfare is distributed to its readers either by central site pickup, email or mail. Readers have the option to select their desired method.  Heather and her husband, David, moved to the Fan from Boston as renters in 2008 when their daughters were attending Virginia colleges. After 6 months, they knew they loved the Fan and found a permanent home on Grove Ave. Working at the gorgeous Ruth & Ollie store in Carytown allows Heather to indulge her passion for interior design. Co-chairing and Chairing the FDA Holiday House Tour the past three years has influenced Heather to learn and do more for the neighborhood. As a Board member she continues to find new ways to reach people who still don’t know about the FDA and all the wonderful things it does in this great neighborhood.
