Home care aide/companion
 Description: Non medical home care aide/companion. I have a home based
biz near fan & carytown repairing antique quilts & have a somewhat
flexible schedule. I bought my house with money I made as a home care aide
working thru various agencies locally & could do some of that again,
especially weekends & in the fan area. Non medical. I am not a nurse. I'm a
former housekeeper & specialized in live-in cases, usually did
shopping, meals, kept house running, scheduled appointments & assisted
home-bound persons in staying out of institutions.

I got out of it because it was unstable & after my longest running case
which lasted a year before she went into assisted living I could never
get a regular schedule. I'm available to do overnights long as I can
sleep or rest unless client needs help & I can do regular weekend cases.
I'm committed to respecting what the client is willing to do which
often is less than the family wants. I sometimes wonder if the family is
afraid if they let the pressure up for a minute the client will never get
out of bed & maybe the patient is afraid if they do it once they'll
never hear the end of it? I understand all this but being in the middle
affected my quality of life. If we can get on the same page & support
what the client is willing to do I'm glad to assist with your home care
needs.

Tour via GRTC Busline
 Description: Ten dollar per hour tour via GRTC busline. All you need is a
ten dollar book of bus tickets plus dimes for transfers, all of which I
will have when we meet. You can get from airport to River Rd Shopping
center & points in between on busline. If you are new in town & want to
learn how to get around, if you have out of town guests & can't take
them around during the day, or you just want to see your city from a bus
where you don't have to drive or figure out directions, start planning
your tour. It can be focused around an area like the Fan, which can
actually be done on foot, or by interests, maybe churches or old
neighborhoods. Ten dollars per hr, no minimum. It's fun & educational. Kids who
are old enough to enjoy it are welcome with or without an adult. I live
in the metro area & get around on foot & via bus, from VCU/Fan/Carytown
area & would be glad to plan a tour around my favorite places or yours.

Description:White with scrolly bars that appear to be removable. Reportedly purchased 2 or 3 years ago from Lowe's for $300. 27 inches wide -- ie too narrow for most Fan doors. But measure your porch or garage door and tell your suburban friends. You or your friends could get a great bargain. It's out in my garage now. I know I should have measured the height before it was stored :-( Sorry! If you have an opening the correct width and want the door, email me and I will measure the height right away.
