Greetings and welcome to a brand new
year from your civic association.
YOUR NEIGHBORS UPTOWN has represented residents and businesses in the
West Main Street, West
Cary
Street and
Parkwood Avenue
areas for nearly 19 years.
YOUR NEIGHBORS UPTOWN is comprised of 12 to 18 volunteer board members and
over 200 of your friends and neighbors. We are very active, and would like
you to join us as we continue to help make our neighborhood a great place
to live and work.
Some of our ongoing neighborhood plans
and projects include:
- Crime, safety, ABC licensing, parking,
noise and zoning.
- Emphasis on traffic calming along Cary and
Main Streets.

Revitalization Plan.
- Rezoning of
Cary Street west
of
Meadow Street
and east of
Lady Street
- Twice yearly alley clean-ups.
- Participation in the City's, CAPS meetings
and “Team” meetings
- This year we also hope to Focus on
expanding our board and developing a more active code enforcement system
