About the fountain:

The present four-tier Fountain was installed some time between 1899-1908.  It is believed to be closer to 1908.  The fountain was designed by Colonel William E. Cutshaw, city engineer for 34 years beginning in 1873, who took special interest in improvements to the park.  The Fountain was manufactured by Robinson Iron, Alexander City, Alabama www.robinson-iron.com/ who is still producing fountains today
