The Monuments and Statues located in the Park

Statue of General Williams Carter Wickham dedicated in 1891. The first monument to be placed in the park was created by Richmond's noted sculptor, Edward Virginius Valentine and was given to the city by Wickham's Confederate army comrades and by fellow employees of the Chesapeake & Ohio Railway Company.
 
This five-foot by five-foot stone cross honoring General Fitzhugh Lee as commader of the U.S. Army's 7th Army Corps in 1898-1899 .  The monument was erected by 7th Army Corps Veterans Association and Auxiliary.
 

World War II Monument, it carried the names of 567 Richmonders who made the supreme sacrifice. Metal Eagles originally topped the monument's center columns
