• Fan Parks Fall Clean Up

  Help your friends and neighbors get our neighborhood parks ready for the winter season. Join us from 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday, Nov. 22 at Federal, Grace, Lombardy, Meadow, Paradise, Scuffletown, and Sydney parks.

  Activities include raking and bagging leaves, spreading mulch, weeding, general maintenance. Bring gloves and dress appropriately for the weather and activity. Tools will be provided.

  Meadow Park will be front and center for this year's Holiday House Tour! We need folks to help put up lights and decorations and make this special park sparkle for the holidays. Saturday, Nov. 29, the day after Thanksgiving, is the day we'll decorate.

  As an added bonus for your delight, some very cute goats will be making a return appearance for the 2nd Annual Pumpkin Drive! Lend a hand and join in the fun.

  Bring your pumpkins! Feed the goats!

  We're excited to welcome back Kim Orcutt of Goats and Honey, who will be bringing some of her cute creatures to Meadow Park to chow down on your left-over pumpkins.

  Each year, pumpkins are thrown into landfills creating harmful emissions. Thanks to Kim and her goats, we can dispose of them in an environmentally-friendly (and adorable!) way.

  Now in its sixth decade, the Fan District Association Holiday House Tour features homes that capture the neighborhood’s architectural cohesiveness, yet its spectacular distinctiveness, that exists nowhere else in the United States. Come see what makes the Fan uniquely Richmond! This much-loved, annual tradition is expected to bring more than 1500 visitors to the historic Fan District, which is the largest intact Victorian district in the country. Ticket holders will be able to tour nine spectacular and festively decorated properties, while enjoying the vibrant neighborhood and its unique architectural character. Notes on tickets: Tickets are good for both days of the tour. Each home may only be toured once. Tickets are non-refundable. If you are unable to attend, we are happy to accept the purchase as a donation to our non-profit and provide you with a tax deductible receipt. Additional information about receiving tickets will be shared closer to the event. This tour is primarily a walking tour and there are many stairs leading up to and inside the homes. Small trams will be available along the route. Additionally: No strollers, high heels, or photos of home interiors Parking is available at nearby parking garages and on the street.
