Community Grant Award Recipients 2026

At the Fan District Association Annual Meeting on May 19, 2026, we announced the recipients for our yearly Community Grants program.

The program offers funding to organziations and programs that work to better the lives of the Fan community and the City of Richmond.

Funds for this program come from the proceeds of our Holiday House Tour. This year, we are proud to have awarded $48,000 in grants to 20 recipients.

Congratulations to:

  • Branch Museum of Design: $4,000 for a garden renewal project
  • Birdhouse Farmers Market: $1,500 for community gardening project
  • CAPUP: $2,000 for food access and financial assistance
  • Children Museum of Richmond: $1,000 for outdoor gardens beautification
  • Circles RVA: $2,000 for ally training and support
  • Dogwood Middle School PTA: $5,000 for their house system program
  • FeedMore: $2,000 for the BackPack Program, meals for children
  • Fox Elementary PTA: $5,000 for the Strawberry Street Festival and outdoor refresh
  • Girls2Women Teen Mentoring of VA: $1,500 for middle school teen mentoring
  • Greater Richmond Fit4Kids: $2,000 for educational gardens at Fox Elementary
  • Health Brigade: $2,000 for an integrated health care program
  • Higher Achievement: $2,000 for the Dogwood Achievement Center
  • Historic Monument Avenue: $2,000 for a tree project for Monument Avenue
  • Operation Heroes Connect: $2,000 for a Richmond youth day camp
  • Re-Establish Richmond: $2,000 for community engagement and education
  • Richmond Philharmonic Orchestra: $2,000 for a youth concerto competition
  • Tee Jay Viking Fund: $5,000 for student scholarships at Thomas Jefferson High
  • Uptown Community Garden: $1,000 to help their garden do more
  • Virginia Home: $2,000 for the 5K Walk 'n Roll
  • Visual Arts Center: $2,000 for the Art After School program
